Entry-level to 3 years of experience, with a four-year architecture degree preferred. This role provides support to the project team with tasks including drafting, design, and management of project subsets under the direction of the project managers and architects.

Candidates:

  • Will demonstrate a knowledge of Revit and/or AutoCAD, architectural design and drafting. 3D modeling abilities in Sketch-up, Enscape, and others are preferred.
  • Will have a working ability with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Will gain and develop knowledge of detailing, building codes and materials, constructions techniques, and costs while working with the project team.
  • Are expected to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet establish priorities.
  • Must demonstrate a willingness to learn and improve skills.
  • Will be mentored by senior staff to develop professional abilities and skill sets, and participation in licensure programs.

Award-winning architectural and preservation firm in Western New York is seeking a Project Manager with a B. Arch or M. Arch and 5 to 8 years of experience collaborating with and leading multi-disciplinary teams working on a variety of project types including but not limited to commercial, mixed-use, adaptive-reuse, and residential projects. 

CJS Architects, with offices in Buffalo and Rochester, NY, is seeking a highly organized and technically proficient Project Architect/Manager to collaborate on all aspects of design and construction projects with our team.  A qualified candidate should be able to meet these job requirements:

  • Is technically proficient with Revit and/or AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
  • Is expected to take responsibility for multiple projects, in different design phases, simultaneously.
  • Will be responsible for communication between project clients and consultants, coordinating all aspects of the project schedules and deliverables.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of detailing, building codes and materials, constructions techniques and costs.
  • Will assist in mentoring less experienced staff
  • Collaborate to refine and develop firm best practices

Summer Intern April 12, 2023

CJS Architects is an award-winning architectural and preservation firm and is seeking a summer intern looking to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on a variety of project types including but not limited to commercial, mixed-use, adaptive-reuse, and residential projects. 

This paid position is for up to 40-hours per week, based on qualified candidate’s availability and office project load.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or Microsoft Office
  • Enrolled in an architecture program at the undergraduate or graduate level
     

Responsibilities:

  • Under the supervision of a licensed architect:
  • Participate in construction site visits
  • Conduct field documentation of existing buildings
  • Assist in the creation of presentation imagery
  • Produce architectural documentation
  • Assist in product research
  • Attend in-house team meetings
