Final Look: Patrick J. Paladino Memorial Boathouse
The Patrick J. Paladino Memorial Boathouse is nearly completed. The two-story rowing boathouse, located at 405 Ohio Street, brings a recreational component to the evolving corridor in the Old First Ward.
The five-bay structure houses 75 shells, with additional space for training, locker rooms, and boat repair facilities.
Over the past few years, the Buffalo Scholastic Rowing Association (BSRA) had been using a temporary quonset hut for staging its operation.
The BSRA’ seven scholastic members include: Maritime Charter School, Bishop Timon High School, St. Mary’s High School, Canisius High School, Mt. Mercy Academy of Buffalo, Buffalo Seminary, and South Park High School.
