The program for the renovation of the Cayuga St branch was driven by technology, customer service and maintaining a sense of community and continuing with the newly established branding.
Creating a bold exterior statement by inserting a “rectangle box” at a strong angle of the existing footprint, that pushes through the front of the building, creating a new very visible modern glass vestibule. It can now be seen from the street and highlights the façade with silver metallic architectural panel system, which juxtaposes against the existing brick. New signage sets the tone for the interiors.
The main areas within the “box” include the reception, where the customer experience starts with a greeter at the door illuminated by a custom LED panel lit 3Form backdrop with the bank's logo.
A glass-enclosed room for private meetings includes an interactive wall mount monitor, task chairs and laptop tables.
Innovative technology was integrated into the branch manager's office with a back painted glass table that can be written on and has power outlets just below the top.
Wrapping the interior perimeter walls with a continual white high gloss laminate millwork counter at varying heights to fit the different program needs creates the support areas for the space. Teller lines are replaced with interactive ITM machines which call a local customer service agent up on the screen to assist the client with their banking needs. 3Form decorative green ribbon panels were used as dividers between the ITM machines to ensure privacy. The service area is at 42” with bar stools and is equipped with IPADS and an experience area was created to train customers on internet banking. A large open space was also required for community meetings.
