Nazareth Learning Commons Study & Phase 1

The emergence of technology in combination with the evolution of teaching and learning into more collaborative and social interactions, Nazareth College desired a comprehensive study that would demonstrate a phased renovation plan for the Lorette Wilmot Library to become a Learning Commons.

The first phase focused on changes that moved the facility on a path to easily develop into a larger Learning Commons plan.  The new Information and Instructional Technologies were provided a new service desk and located in the library to improve the organization and flow of the library and decrease the number of service points.

Program features were relocated to reduce the complexity and make more effective use of the space. Functions and services that were duplicated at the variety of departments were reduced.
