Construction Watch: Buffalo River Landing

While Ellicott Development wraps up its first Ohio Street mixed-use building, a second project is sprouting to the south.

Buffalo River Landing, combining office space and 78 apartments, is being developed by Savarino Compainies and Frontier Group of Companies. The five-story building’s stair towers are in place and framing is underway.

The $18 million project features professional office space, 16 two-bedroom, two bath and 64 one-bedroom, one bath apartments. Amenities include secured/covered parking, balconies, large windows, in-unit laundry, and high-end finishes. Dock access will accommodate launching of kayaks, canoes, and small recreational watercraft. Large boats will be able to dock temporarily and the riverfront will be publicly accessible.

One-bedroom units start at $1,100 and are approximately 800 square feet and two-bedroom units are approximately 1,600 square feet and priced from $2,100.

Buffalo River Landing was designed by CJS Architects and features Corten metal cladding mixed with flat exterior panels. Vertical stair towers will be covered with translucent polycarbonate panels.
