Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) – The Strong National Museum of Play expansion project is well underway. The first phase, which includes a multi-level parking garage, is expected to be finished by the end of this year.
"It's always exciting to see progress being made in our city,” said Shane Rhinewald, senior director of public relations and community relations. “And the neighborhood of play here we believe is going to be truly transformational for Rochester and make Rochester even more of a destination."
Phase two will begin in 2020 and will include a 90,000-square-foot addition to the museum and add a hotel.
