The hotel was developed in support of the National Strong Museum of Play and is surrounded by the newly developed Strong Neighborhood in downtown Rochester.
The building is located on the corner of Howell and Union Street and is 5 stories with a total of 82,000 +/- square feet of gross building area. The first floor has amenities such as a conference/event space, a bar, a swimming pool, a game room and an exhibit displaying selected artifacts from the Strong Museum of Play collection. The project is being developed by Indus Hospitality Group and will have 125 guest rooms, these include King suites typical of a Hampton Inn and Suites. The rooms have balconies facing Union Street and Adventure Street connecting guests to the newly revitalized Rochester neighborhood. The design will be a unique for a Hampton Inn and Suites Hotel, given its downtown location and affiliation with the Strong Museum of Play.
